The Trails
Located on the outskirts of Presque Isle, in the heart of Aroostook County, The Nordic Heritage Center is home to northern Maine’s premier singletrack trail system. Over 22 miles of IMBA designed trail winds through beautiful hardwood and evergreen forest. Classic trails such as the West Trail, Tom’s Trail, Chris’s Climb and Vacationland will have you wondering how this place has managed to stay such a secret. There’s something for everyone, and enough riding to keep you smiling for days.
At the Nordic Heritage Center you will also find a stunning Swedish-style lodge that contains a large living room, kitchen, locker rooms, showers and a sauna – all of which are free and open to the public. Just down the road from the venue, the Aroostook River winds lazily towards the Canadian border, and its gentle waters are easily accessible from the trail system.
Come for the festival, stay for some of the best riding in Maine, and find out how incredible summer in Aroostook County can be!
